It's a Furby, yet it's an Abomination? Why did I draw this? I'm sorry that you had to see this, but it's necessary to understand my art. What a terrible first impression. Expect mostly dragons from here on out.
A Viking inspired floating island piece. The dragon is inspired by Norse carvings. I like the implication of the chains- as if the Viking Villagers tried to chain down the village as it floated away. I think the colors could be bolder and the people falling of are of questionable detail and proportion. Overall I'm pretty proud of this one.
I love the steampunk aesthetic, so this is one of my all-time favorite pieces. Besides a few depth and perspective mistakes and oversights, I can't find too much to hate about this one. Inspired by an obscure and ancient Coney Island theme park ride ("A Trip to the Moon") and Disney's Treasure Planet.
A great example of a piece I'm. . .not happy with. I really don't know why it didn't come together like I wanted. The Gargoyle's snout may be too short or goofy, its eyes don't glow the way I intended, the cathedral should have been three-point perspective, the colors are too bright. I might try to remake it later. It's a little bit beat up because I almost threw it away, but I find it important nonetheless.
I think it's pretty cool. I'm not, like, super proud of It or anything, but looking back I'm sentimental. The colors could be more saturated, the detail could be deeper, etc. but I'm happy with it. It's inspired by The Alliance by a personal art idol of mine, Scott Christian Sava. Except they're not an alliance. I made them fight. That's cool, I think.
Congratulations. You've scrolled all the way down. Consider it to be a privilege to see my first real watercolor piece, based off of my former pet lizard who got eaten by the cat the first chance he got. He's also attacking a city. Inspired by everybody's favorite reptilian kaiju, Cloverfield.
